I have had several requests to show what my Fractured Whole Cloth quilt looks like when it is quilted. I was using the Fractured Whole Cloth concept for an online class I created and I wasn’t going to show what the quilting looked like until the class was finished, but, I am SO excited about how the quilt turned out, I just had to show it to the world!
The quilt in the photos are of the sample quilt I made for the online class. (You can view details about this online class by Clicking Here)
Here is a full view of the completed quilt. The main feathers are quilted with a contrasting thread and the “fill in” feathers are quilted with a matching thread.
This is a photo of the center of the quilt, which is where I got the inspiration for the name of the quilt “Rings Around the Wreath”
Here is a photo of the back of the quilt. I LOVE all the detail of the feathers!

I am planning on quilting the same designs on my other pieced Fractured Whole Cloth Quilt in the next few days. When it’s finished I’ll post more photos.
Oh, Cindy, I love it. The featheres give so much texture as well as the traditional look. Such simple piecing, but because of beautiful fabric and quilting, it is a remarkable quilt. A big success!!!

I saw this on my longarm quilting e-mail and I thought about your top. How funny that it ended up being yours, but I should have known the beauty of the quilting had to come from you!!!!!
